Now, Ed25519/X25519 is getting popular, Gnuk Token can be a practical choice for Debian Developers and Users. In this short talk, we will explain the typical use case of Gnuk Token with GnuPG, and how GnuPG components (gpg front-end, gpg-agent, and scdaemon) interact.

We will explain:

  • Use of gpg-agent as ssh-agent
  • Storing private keys on physically independent device may reduce the attack surface
